Church news: The Pope's liturgical fashion - symbols of humility

Pietism and Rationalism destroyed much of the liturgical life of the Lutheran Church.  This loss was so profound that in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod we are just now beginning to see a renaissance in the use of the chasuble.  Yet for those traditions that never experienced such a loss, liturgical fashion provides a much richer language for expression.  The new Pope's choices express a humility which should be welcomed by all Christians.
