Lutheran preaching and the third use of the law? available online

The twentieth century generated a new perspective on sanctification in Lutheranism. This position says that Lutheran preaching should not exhort and admonish the hearers to live in new obedience. Functionally, it denies the third use of a the law. However, such a view does not reflect what the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions have to say about this matter.  I address this topic in a revised piece that is available online in a format that is easy to print and download.  It is available through the following link: Lutheran preaching and the third use of the law?
