Life news: Cultural attitudes don't change the facts about fertility
Our culture tells women that they should put off having children and "schedule" it for after other career and life goals have been achieved.
But these cultural attitudes don't change the biological factors which make it more difficult for women to have children as they get older.
There is also evidence that abortions increase the chance of miscarriages later in life. These are inconvenient truths that our culture would prefer not to acknowledge.
