Culture news: Gay rights bill in California seeks to strip tax exempt status from Boy Scouts

You can't get much more "God and country" than the Boy Scouts.  So when a California gay rights bill seeks to strip their tax exempt status, the first reaction is probably, "Well, it's California after all."  This is true and I don't know if the bill goes anywhere - even in California.  But the news item also illustrates the obvious pressure point where churches will be vulnerable in the future.  The first step is homosexual marriage. Then the "hate speech" and anti-discrimination legislation follow that threaten to strip churches of tax exempt status.  It will probably begin in California....

Such may be the price the Church in America must be willing to pay.
