Next week the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on a bill banning abortion after twenty weeks. The bill is based on scientific evidence that infants are capable feeling pain by this point in development. Although no abortion is acceptable and evidence indicates that infants can feel pain before twenty weeks, the bill is an important step in raising the issue in the public's awareness and beginning to end abortion. The National Right to Life has provided a link that can be used to contact your representative.
1) I would prefer it to a ban on abortions.
ReplyDelete2) If the best we can get is a ban after 20 weeks, I would prefer a ban nationwide after 20 weeks.
However, I put my name and address to the message (although I found out later that my representative and senators already have co-sponsored the bills in question).
