Life news: The Human Egg Rush

Wesley J. Smith writes, "Ounce for ounce, ova are surely the most valuable product in the world, with some young women receiving $50,000 and up for twenty or thirty microscopic eggs for use in eugenic in vitro fertilization (IVF)."  Advances in cloning techniques are going to cause a large rise in the demand for human eggs.  Where are they going to come from?  He discusses two sources. The use of impoverished women in developing countries is already occurring.  The source that is now being developed uses aborted babies.
